More than two years after a man was shot multiple times in front of his Macon home, police on Wednesday said they have arrested the one they believed killed him.
Mr. Gregory Duane Londy, 27, was charged with murder in the death of Mr. Michael Henderson, according to Macon police.
Mr. Henderson, 39, was shot to death in front of his home at 1291 Rocky Creek Road on Nov. 16, 2011, police said.
Three Macon investigators identified and took out an arrest warrant for Mr. Londy, police spokeswoman Ms. Jami Gaudet said.
“This dedicated group of investigators never gave up on solving this murder,” Macon Police Chief Mike Carswell said in the release. “Over the course of two years they pursued Michael Henderson’s killer, never quitting until they made the arrest.”
Officials have not released a motive for the murder. It’s also unclear how they were able to link Mr. Londy to the crime and whether or not the suspect knew the victim.
