Sushi Typhoon creator storms ahead with two new goofy gorefests (Photos)

Sushi Typhoon, a Japanese collective of F/X Artists and Independent filmmakers that made splattery Cult movies like "Machine Girl", "RoboGeisha" and "Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl", seems to have disbanded.

However, fans of this genre fear not because Director Noburu Iguchi, one of the main men behind that cool team that distributed their own flicks, is back with not one but, two new DVD editions. Released exclusively to own Today, they bear quite a resemblance to what Sushi Typhoon was known best for, such as high flying kicks, weird creatures, nubile school girls in uniforms and geysers of blood!

"Dead Sushi", a saucy Horror Comedy is packed with low-brow laughs and campy hi-jinks involving a tale of some living dead sushi that is ready to bite you back. Keiko, runs away from home due to her overbearing Sushi Chef father. She settles as a waitress at a seaside inn, only to find out the fish have been poisoned by chemicals causing mutations like killer fish-headed men and violent sashimi. Which of course she must battle to save not only herself but, the local townsfolk. Fun and fresh!

"Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead", another goofy gorefest, isn't so fresh. Iguchi's tongue-in-cheek take on a toilet placed above a portal to Hell that is certainly overflowing with decrepit reanimated dead. Sick, twisted zombie flick that isn't afraid to go where you wouldn't believe. Extreme and offensive.

Both of these Unrated features are only available to purchase at Best Buy. Visit a Pittsburgh location or order online. Blu-Ray editions are also available with prices starting as low as $12.99.
