Shiki Beverly Hills, helmed by Executive Chef Shigenori Fujimoto (previously of Matsuhisa and Asanebo), has introduced Angelenos to truly traditional Japanese food with proper A-5 Grade Wagyu Beef, Momotaro Tomatoes and an omakase menu that encompasses selections from both the sea and land. Now offering lunch from 12:00PM – 2:30PM, Shiki is filling the Japanese void on the overly-Italian populated strip of North Canon Drive.
Those north of Wilshire with a hankering for an omakase lunch can now enjoy a 4-course lunch omakase menu offered for $60, including two sushi courses and two appetizers of the chef’s choosing. No worries for those with allergies as special modifications can certainly be arranged! The same menu items during dinner will also be offered, including dishes such as:
· Wagyu Beef Tohban
· Momotaro Tomato
· Miso Marinated Seabass w/ Peach Compote
· Halibut Sashimi w/ Fresh Black Truffle
· Scallop & Blue Crab Salad
Embracing its namesake, Shiki, translating to “four seasons” in Japanese, upholds the “Washoku” technique of utilizing traditional Japanese methods and techniques to bring out the ever-changing seasonal flavors sourced both locally and from Japan. With famed Matsuhisa and Michelin Star-rated Asanebo under his belt, Executive Chef Shigenori Fujimoto has taken on another endeavor in Shiki to introduce the 90210 to the Japanese cooking he grew up with in Japan. Through Chef Shige’s “Washoku”-inspired menu, passion for upholding his Japanese traditions and overall creativity, the dishes at Shiki Beverly Hills combine innovation and modern-day flavors with the freshest and most authentic ingredients of the seasons.
