Tuesday, Susan Powell’s parents were granted temporary custody of her two children; another hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. Chuck and Judy Cox are in Washington State today after Josh Powell’s father was arrested six days ago on voyeurism child pornography charges, and have filed for custody of the children. The two children have been in foster care for six days. Tuesday afternoon, ABC 4 reported that Josh Powell is also being investigated on voyeurism and child pornography charges. A court hearing was already scheduled for Wednesday, but with this latest news about Josh Powell, a Washington State judge granted temporary custody of Josh and Susan Powell’s children to Chuck and Judy Cox.
Josh Powell has had custody of their two children and moved to Washington State shortly after Susan’s disappearance to live with his father, Steven Powell.
In court documents, Chuck and Judy Cox said that they blamed, Josh Powell, for "the disappearance, kidnapping/murder of our daughter."
"Whether our daughter is being held against her will somewhere or whether she is dead, we both believe that the father, Josh Powell, is directly responsible for her disappearance," according to the paperwork file Friday morning by Chuck and Judy Cox.
Thursday night, Steven Powell was arrested in Washington State on child pornography charges after thousands of photos of girls and women were found on his computer; his bail has been set at $200,000. Police also found nude photos of two young neighbor girls in their own bathroom that Steven Powell had taken with a telephoto lens. For more information on this story, click here.

Last month, Utah police said that they had a break in Susan Powell’s disappearance and that they would begin searching out near Ely, Nevada. Then the location changed over the last few weeks, but local officials have been following up on what they said was a reliable lead. The police would not say if the missing mom is alive or dead, nor would they release specific information about the tip they received.
Powell, 28, has been missing since December 7, 2009. Josh Powell is the only person who has been named a person of interest in the case. The police have stated that the case is highly suspicious. Josh Powell moved from their Salt Lake City, Utah home to Washington State about a month after his wife disappeared with their children, and he has not actively participated in the search for Susan.
Josh and Susan Powell have two young sons, who were 2 and 4 at the time of her disappearance.
