Susan Lucci visit to ‘The View’ sparks rumors of Erica Kane return to ‘AMC’

Susan Lucci, who portrayed the iconic Erica Kane for all 41 years of “All My Children” on ABC will visit the ladies of ABC’s “The View” next week, Soap Opera Network reported Feb. 23.

Lucci is scheduled to appear on “The View” on Monday, Feb. 25 to talk about her new Lifetime series “Devious Maids,” and the second season of the Investigative Discovery series “Deadly Affairs.”

There has been much speculation about Lucci’s return to the Prospect Park/Online Network revival of “All My Children” on the Internet. ABC’s Soaps in Depth reported that Susan is expected to make a return visit to “AMC” at “some point.”

Erica Kane, daughter of Mona and Eric Kane, was a serial bride, marrying eight different men for a total of eleven marriages. Erica Kane's husbands included:

  • Jeff Martin
  • Phillip Brent
  • Tom Cudahy
  • Adam Chandler was Erica’s fourth and eighth husband
  • Mike Roy married Erica briefly, but the marriage was considered invalid
  • Travis Montgomery was Erica’s sixth and seventh husband
  • Dimitri Marick was Erica’s ninth and tenth husband
  • Jackson Montgomery, brother of the late Travis Montgomery was Erica’s eleventh husband; Erica and Jack were engaged to remarry in 2011 when “All My Children” went off the air.

Also returning for the Internet revival of “All My Children” are:

  • Ray MacDonnell as Dr. Joe Martin
  • Cady McClain as Dixie Martin
  • Jill Larson as Opal Cortlandt
  • Thorsten Kaye as Zach Slater
  • Debbi Morgan as Dr. Angela Hubbard
  • Darnell William as Jesse Hubbard
  • Eden Riegel as Bianca Montgomery
  • Vincent Irizarry as Dr. David Hayward
  • Lindsay Hartley as Cara Martin
  • Jordi Vilasuso as Griffin Castillo

No word yet if the following “All My Children” favorites will return for the reboot but Online Network is expected to announce more casting details in the coming weeks:

  • Michael E. Knight as Tad Martin
  • Walt Willey as Jackson Montgomery
  • Alicia Minshew as Kendall Hart Slater

David Canary, who portrayed both Adam and Stuart Chandler, retired in 2010. “AMC” killed off Stuart Chandler and Adam remarried Brooke English and the two left Pine Valley together to live happily ever after. It is rumored that David Canary, like Ray MacDonnell, may return for a guest appearance as Adam Chandler on the Prospect Park reboot of “All My Children.”
