If you want to date "Britain's Got Talent" runner-up Susan Boyle, then you better be prepared for an investigation from her brother Gerry. In a recent interview with an Australian publication, the "I Dreamed a Dream" singer' sibling had this to say about the family's involvement in Susan's life:

"Our family is very protective of Susan. Anyone coming into a circle from a romantic angle would have to go through the wringer. She becomes attached very easily to people so she has to be careful.

"I think there has to be a bit of reality in her life. I think the world realizes she is fragile. She's desperately keen to be loved."

Boyle made headlines on "Britain's Got Talent" for proclaiming she has "never been kissed," and since the show she has received everything from marriage proposals to love letters.

Do you think Susan Boyle needs her family to be so involved in her love life? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more news.

If Susan is really that inexperienced at romance/dating, then I think it would be wise for someone who truly cares about Susan to keep a very close eye on things. I suppose the biggest thing now would be to watch for men who only want her money. I wish Susan all the best in fame, wealth and romance.

Under the guise of being protective, they are being very controlling. Maybe some of Susan's naivete is due to not being allowed to live as a real adult, despite having a slight disability. She obviously has the ability to learn from her experiences. Look at how much she's grown as she has shot to fame.
