Susan Boyle -- influential in anime?

We already know that "Britain's Got Talent" runner-up Susan Boyle is surprisingly has a large audience -- as a matter of fact, she was #1 in the country with "I Dreamed a Dream" without even doing publicity. However, who knew that she had such a large audience in the anime genre?

According to a report by the Anime News Network, Boyle's original song "Who I Was Born to Be" will be featured as the theme to the upcoming motion picture "Welcome to the Space Show." This is the second song from Boyle to be featured in anime, following the presence of "I Dreamed a Dream" in another anime project.

The director of the film, Koji Masunari, claimed that he wanted the film to be accessible to the world -- what better way to do it than having a global superstar in the song?

Do you think Susan Boyle will continue this kind of global success? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest news.
