Cochran was declared the winner of "Survivor: Caramoan" on Sunday during a live reunion show in Los Angeles. The bespectacled Harvard law School nerd proved his worth and came home with the top award. Wearing an open-collared shirt and tie with a vest the returning fan favorite won with a final tribal council vote of 8-0-0.
Cochran was originally on "Survivor: South Pacific", the 23rd season of the long-running program. Dawn Meehan, also from season 23, was a runner-up. Malcolm Freberg was awarded the $100,000 Sprint player of the season prize.
According to Variety "Survivor" ratings dominated their time slot Sunday night. The 26th season finale came in with 10.0 million viewers in a 2-hour special just behind last springs "Survivor: One World" which registered 10.3 million.
