This season “Survivor” attempted something that to say left viewers annoyed would be to put it lightly. It pitied family members against each other, and all were betrayed at one point or another and without exception the remaining family member vowed to avenge the other’s elimination.
Tyson’s girlfriend, who began the season with no apparent drive to win, changed his game around completely once his girlfriend was ousted and promised those that voted her out, that he would have a hand in voting them out and would be the ultimate survivor at the end.
The final three were Monica, Brad’s wife, someone who made it to the end because she formed an alliance with Tyson and Gervase and they carried her through and she came to believe that at some point she was in charge of her destiny, just like her husband delusional. Gervase along with Monica and Tyson plead his case to the jury, but he didn’t have much game either, he allied himself with Tyson, and the latter made the necessary moves.
Tyson’s strategy, his drive to win immunity when he needed the most and uncanny ability to find hidden immunity idols at the end earned him the title of ultimate survivor and the 1 million dollar grand price, congratulations Tyson you played an awesome game.
“Survivor” runs on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
