With the premiere of "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" just a few mere hours away, here's a couple of stories to get you excited.
First of all, some castaways who just missed the cut have finally spoken out. What do Richard Hatch, Twila Tanner, and others think about the snub? Look below to read their thoughts courtesy of TV Guide Canada:
Richard Hatch, "Borneo:" “They invited me, (but) the prosecutor lied to the judge to block me from going. He said I hadn’t paid my taxes for 2000-01 and he told them I hadn’t been co-operating with the IRS and all sorts of things. Well, I have. The IRS wrote specifically that I don’t owe anything — I haven’t even been assessed for those years. And that I’ve been co-operative all along. I would have done it.”
Twila Tanner, "Vanuatu:" “I would have loved to been on this season. I was supposed to go on Fans vs. Favorites and I was dropped at the last minute. I cried for two days and then I got pissed. I’m not Hollywood, I’m not used to all this, and as far as I’m concerned, you don’t treat me like [expletive]. With all the expense of trying to run around and get all my stuff together, no one reimbursed me for nothing.”
Jonny Fairplay, "Pearl Islands" and "Fans vs. Favorites:" “I am [expletive] Survivor. I would like to punch out Jeff Probst’s front teeth and shatter his jaw and see how he would do on Survivor. Here’s the cool thing. If you went to EW.com and listen to him talk about Colby, he’s like, ‘Colby was great on Survivor: Australia and then he went into All-Stars and his head wasn’t there. But we need to bring him back to show how great he was.’ Well, how about the guy that was the biggest bad guy in the history of the show, who had his teeth knocked out? How about you bring him back to show how great he was? That was the reason I wasn’t on but he was.”
Coby Archa, "Palau:" “I did kind of spoil the cast … no, I totally did spoil the cast (on message boards). It sounds silly, but for me that was my therapy for not getting picked.”
Ami Cusack, "Vanuatu," "Fans vs. Favorites:" “I think I should have been on it, are you kidding? I’m a villain, or something … I think the ladies thought I was a hero and I think the men thought I was the most evil woman in the world.”
Rudy Boesch, "Borneo," "All-Stars:" “They called me about that show and asked me to be on it. I said ‘yeah’ and then they called me back and said they didn’t want me, they got somebody else. But I think what they wanted to tell me was, ‘You’re too old, that’s why we don’t want you.’”
Do I think all of these people are legitimate snubs? No -- Richard would've been on it if it wasn't for the IRS, and Twila's the only other person who should actually have real beef. Ami didn't make the merge in "Fans. vs. Favorites," Fairplay quit, Coby may not be memorable enough for the casual fan (though I love the guy), and Rudy was the second guy out in "All-Stars."

On a completely different note, ten of this season's castaways made an appearance on Wednesday night's taping of "The Late Show With David Letterman." To check out what they said during the "Top Ten List" (as lame as most of the jokes are), watch the video below.
