"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" won't premiere on CBS until February 11, but as with every season you can expect a profile of each contestant here leading up to the 20th edition of the popular reality competition.
Today, the focus is on Sandra Diaz-Twine.
Name: Sandra Diaz-Twine
Age: 34
Occupation: Bank teller
Location: Stamford, Connecticut
Past seasons: "Survivor: Pearl Islands"
Tribe: Villains
Claim to fame: Sandra can get loud, too! In all seriousness, she was probably the only castaway on "Pearl Islands" to strike fear into the heart of Jonny Fairplay. She never exactly was the quiet type, and she also had a few memorable moments such as when she tossed out all of the fish following Rupert's departure. (In other words, she pulled a Russell before Russell was even on the show.)
Is she an All-Star? Sandra is definitely an all-star, and applause needs to be given to Jeff Probst and Mark Burnett for getting her back on the show. She has a distinct personality, and really she has become overlooked as a winner when you look back upon some of the more recent seasons. Whether or not Sandra is really a "villain," though, is an entirely different story. My guess is that they merely wanted her in a different tribe than Rupert.
Analysis: Sandra may have a problem sometimes with speaking her mind, but she is quite good at making smart moves to help herself out in the game. She severed ties with many of her allies when it best suited her, and it was probably her intelligence (that and Darrah finally stumbling) that put her in a final three against herself, Jon, and Lil. She may not be the most physical player, but she's great at getting herself into good situations.
Prediction: Out of all of the past winners on "Heroes vs. Villains," Sandra easily has the most potential to succeed. J. T. and Tom will have physical targets on their backs, and Parvati won't be trusted from the get-go. This will likely enable Sandra to duck below the radar and avoid some of that "winner" stigma we saw the first go-around on "All-Stars." I'm not saying that Sandra will win (since there are many other smart players this time around), but she will likely either go very far or be voted out in the first few weeks.
