'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' castaway spotlight: Parvati Shallow

Can Parvati win again?
Can Parvati win again?
CBS

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" won't premiere on CBS until February 11, but as with every season you can expect a profile of each contestant here leading up to the 20th edition of the popular reality competition.

Today, the focus is on Parvati Shallow

Name: Parvati Shallow

Age: 27

Occupation: Former boxer / charity worker

Location: Los Angeles

Past seasons: "Survivor: Cook Islands," "Survivor: Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites"

Tribe: Villains

Claim to fame: Parvati is one of the most popular female "Survivor" players ever, and for good reason: during "Fans vs. Favorites" she flirted, manipulated, and schemed her way to the top past numerous other players. She knew when to get rid of people she didn't need anymore (Ozzy), and who she could ultimately beat (Amanda). Before that, people tend to forget that she was a bit player in "Cook Islands."

Is she an All-Star? I've made it no secret in the past that I though Parvati shouldn't have been picked for "Fans vs. Favorites." However, that is why CBS does the casting and I don't. Based off that season alone it's a no-brainer that Parvati would back to "defend her title" (as she put it).

Analysis: I've talked to a good many "Survivor" castaways who say that they tried to model their game after Parvati's, and for good reason: she's smart. She realizes that flirting can get her far, and often she plays just dumb enough that they guys won't anticipate a blindside. She's also a tough enough physical competitor to win a few challenges. Does she have a weakness? Yes; she's cocky and needs to remember that her strategy hasn't always worked. She's vulnerable early in the game before she has a chance to built momentum.

Prediction: Parvati should go home early. Will she? That's to be decided. I personally think she's a little overrated, but I could eat my words on that later in the season. These people (even the villains) have to know by now that they're dealing with a snake in the grass, and they need to stomp on it faster than even Russell. Russell win never win in front of a jury; Parvati has already proved that she can.

I can hear Russell now, that dumb girl.... I never liked Parvati felt her win was only a lessor of two evils victory which so often is the case. Snake in the grass, copperhead in the woodpile, her game play exposed I too feel she will/should be booted soon. There are just some players that expose fangs that have nothing to do with game-play they're just plainly socially vipers to the core of their being. I will be saying good ridance when her weepy faced/eyed tactics no longer sway the guys in camp.

...Lol? Weepy faced/eyed tactic? You sure you aint thinking about Amanda? I don't get why Parvati is so polarizing, you either hate her or think she's the best, why can't people just realize she's a good player, a top-tier winner but not the absolute best ever?
