Tonight, March 12, “Survivor: Cagayan” started with the Beauty Tribe, as the group returned to camp after voting Brice out. Morgan felt mad and frustrated with Jeremiah for chickening out and jumping ship. She questioned Jeremiah on his decision in front of everyone to ask what changed his mind, and he said he felt he should stay with his original alliance. Morgan continued to stir up trouble by telling Alexis Jeremiah was trying to get her out.
Everyone met Jeff for a Reward Challenge. One member from each tribe had to direct the rest of their blindfolded team members to collect five objects. After they retrieved one object at a time, they had to return the object to a platform and hoist it up to another tribe member on a platform up above. Then, they had to collect their tribe’s flag and hoist that as well in order to win. The Beauty Tribe finished first and won the reward: three egg-laying hens and a rooster. While J’Tia struggled to get the flag on the platform, the Brawn Tribe came from behind and won a dozen eggs for finishing second. Once again, the Brain Tribe lost.
When the Beauty Tribe returned to camp, Jeremiah found a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, and everyone tried to figure out how the hens made eggs. It didn’t take long before they killed the chicken and enjoyed a meal.
After Tony’s false information, Sarah went on a mission to get Cliff out. She talked to Woo about it, and he agreed. Tony wandered up, and Sarah told him Woo was with them. When they got their tree mail the next morning, Sarah decided it would be a good idea to throw the challenge. Trish wasn’t happy about it, but she would do it. Woo wasn’t sure what he wanted to do.
The Immunity Challenge was out on the water. Each tribe had to send one member at a time to dive down and collect five buoys, one at a time. After they collected all five buoys, they had to toss them into a basket on a raft floating across from the team’s raft. It didn’t take long for Sarah and Trish to start throwing the challenge, but they seemed to have forgotten that the Brains Tribe has been useless in challenges. The Beauty Tribe finished first and won immunity. Since Spencer was the only one trying for the Brains Tribe, and the Brawn Tribe still came through and finished in second place.
Back at camp, Spencer was disappointed they lost, and the ladies told him how well he did during the challenge. Spencer told Kass and Tasha that he was an asset in challenges, but J’Tia was not. Kass and Tasha decided they needed to get rid of J’Tia, and Kass said she didn’t want Spencer or J’Tia to know anything. They told J’Tia they didn’t trust Spencer, and J’Tia reminded them of her loyalty. Tasha immediately started to re-think her decision and asked Kass if they were in the game to win challenges or to work with loyal people.
At Tribal Council, Jeff asked J’Tia where she fit in with the losses. She said she did the best she could that day, but swimming is just not her thing. Tasha said J’Tia had been weak in most of the challenges, and they had found roles for her in the challenges that were the most minimal. J’Tia said it wasn’t only about outplaying, but outlasting. Jeff asked Kass about J’Tia throwing most of their rice in the fire, and Kass chalked it up to J’Tia being a hot head and having an emotional response. Spencer said unpredictability was just as dangerous as disloyalty and added he would be with the group going forward. As Spencer and J’Tia talked, Tasha and Kass continued to whisper back and forth about what they were going to do. Spencer told them he was loyal to them and wanted to help them win challenges – all he wanted was a chance. When Jeff read the votes, it was J’Tia who was finally voted out.
