Tonight’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs.Water started out at Galang’s camp after their first trip to Tribal Council. Laura B. was happy she wasn’t the one voted out and felt Rupert would be proud. Aras was nervous after the look Laura M. gave him as she was voted out. In the morning, Tyson spoke to Gervase about Aras – they were both nervous about him teaming up with his brother. The two wondered if they should vote him out sooner, rather than later.
Everyone headed off to Redemption Island Arena. Ciera admitted she felt something all morning and wasn’t surprised to see her mom had been voted out. Laura refused to let Ciera take her place and felt confident she would get back in the game. During the challenge, Brad, John, and Laura M. each had to make their way across a wooden beam to collect four bags of puzzle pieces, which they then had to put in numerical order, from 1-100. Laura flew through the challenge and finished first. It was close, but John beat Brad out, and Brad was eliminated. Jeff let Laura give away the Hidden Immunity Idol clue, so she gave it to Vytas, since she knew it would be a target on Ciera’s back if she gave it to her. Vytas, just like Monica had, threw the clue in the fire.
Jeff sent John and Laura back to Redemption Island, but he told the others they were going to switch things up – it was time to draw for new tribes. Everyone picked covered buffs before pulling them out to reveal the new tribes: Gervase, Tyson, and Aras switched over to Tadhana, while Vytas and Katie switched over to Galang.
At Tadhana, the returning players tried to find out what had gone on, and the new players were quick to give them whatever information they desired, even what the Hidden Immunity Idol clues had said. Tyson came up with the idea to eat a lot of food? (Yes, Tyson, that will teach them). Hayden’s feathers were ruffled as these three new guys took over their camp.
Over at Galang, Tina was excited to play the game with her daughter. Vytas wasn’t happy to be in the situation he was now in and worried he was the odd man out as the only guy in the new tribe. Monica tried to strategize, and Kat brushed her off, since she didn’t want to over-strategize. Later on, Vytas opened up to the women about his time in jail and his rough past.
The newly mixed tribes met Jeff out along the water for the Immunity Challenge, which was also played for reward. In the challenge, one pair from each tribe had to swim out and untie a gate and a fish trap underwater. Tina and Laura B. swam all the way back to shore without their fish trap and had to swim back out to retrieve it, setting their team very far behind Tadhana. Once each tribe had all three fish traps, they could open them and untie all the puzzle pieces to put together a vertical puzzle. Tina and Monica caught back up when piecing together the puzzle, but Tadhana still pulled through to win Immunity and the picnic reward.
Once they got back to camp, Tina apologized to everyone for messing up during the challenge. It seemed pretty set that the girls wanted to vote Vytas out, but Kat wanted to vote Monica out because of her constant strategizing. She mentioned it to Tina, who quickly told Monica. Monica confronted Kat, but she denied it. Monica switched everything around and tried to get the others to vote Kat out and keep Vytas instead.
Galang arrived at Tribal Council, and Jeff immediately asked them who wasn’t getting along. Kat commented that she and Monica weren’t getting along. Kat explained Monica looked down, so Kat talked to her to ask what was wrong, and Monica said she wanted trust with Kat. The two continued to go back and forth about Kat throwing Monica’s name around, and Jeff asked who should go home. Kat said the women should stick together and vote Vytas out and follow their plan. Kat reminded everyone she loved them. Tina admitted having a loved one over there made things completely different for her. Vytas continued to remind the ladies he hadn’t done anything wrong or gone against their trust as Kat begged to stay. In the end, her tribe decided the begging wasn’t enough, and they voted Kat out.
