Tonight’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs.Water started out with the returning players of Galang chatting around the fire. Colton was frustrated that no one was talking strategy.
Both tribes headed to Redemption Island Arena, where Tyson learned Rachel had been voted out. Tyson and Rachel agreed her tribe had voted her out hoping to get Tyson out of the game. Rachel told everyone her tribe was just falling in line with Brad before telling Tyson to stay with his tribe because he had a better chance of winning. Marissa chimed in and swore at Brad. Meanwhile, Colton started crying and said he wanted to leave the game and didn’t care about his tribe. Jeff questioned Colton’s intentions and called him out on quitting for the second time, when he never even had appendicitis the first time around. One last time, Jeff asked Colton if he wanted to quit, and he said yes, which surprised Caleb. Colton then went over and climbed onto Caleb’s lap. Caleb told him he didn’t care if he left. Jeff gave Colton quite a lecture, and off he went, out of the game a second time.
In the duel, Candice, Marissa, and Rachel each had to arrange blocks like dominoes along angled boards. Once they had all the blocks set up, they knocked the stack down, which launched a ball and broke a tile at the end. Again, Candice finished first, while Rachel and Marissa battled it out to get their blocks just right. It was close, but Marissa pulled through again, and Rachel was eliminated from the game. Candice gave her husband, John, another clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol.
Back at camp, Galang discussed Colton quitting and chalked it up to him not getting his way because no one would talk strategy with him.
At Tadhana, Brad was frustrated to have been called out at Redemption Island Area, and John told Brad about his second clue. The two agreed not to look for it together, and Brad wondered if John was really with him.
Galang received treemail that alluded to them battling it out with their loved ones, and everyone wondered what they would be doing. Both tribes arrived at the Immunity Challenge, which was held out on the water on a raft. The challenge was also played for comfort items that included pillows, rope, and mosquito nets. (They could also trade that prize for fishing gear). Each tribe sent one member out to the raft and use padded bags to fight and push their opponent off the raft. Monica sat out for her tribe to keep the numbers even. Brad knocked Gervase off, Laura B. knocked Katie off, John knocked Aras down, Kat took Ciera down in one push, and Hayden quickly knocked Tyson off. Tyson’s shoulder popped, and he couldn’t lift it, so the medics had to come and take a look – they revealed he had indeed popped his shoulder out and possibly tore a ligament. In the next round, Tina knocked her daughter Katie down, Aras took his brother Vytas down, and Laura took her daughter Ciera down to win Immunity and comfort items for Galang.
Tadhana recapped their performances during the challenge before the guys split up and discussed the girls’ performances. They agreed Katie should have beaten her mother during the challenge, but Ciera also didn’t do anything around camp, while Katie cooked all the meals. They agreed the decision was easy, and they would relax the rest of the afternoon and vote Ciera out. The second John walked away to look for the Immunity Idol, Brad told the rest of the guys John needed to go. They reported the news back to the girls, and Brad even told Ciera he might still vote for her so that if John got back into the game, he could reel him back in. As everyone milled around camp, they came up with the idea to vote Brad out instead.
The group headed off to another Tribal Council, and Jeff asked about that day’s challenge. Katie was frustrated to have lost to her mom twice, and Ciera felt embarrassed to have lost to her mom. Brad felt he was being blamed for whoever went to Redemption Island. Jeff asked John what Candice meant when she said she trusted he knew what to do with it. He felt she trusted he would know what to do and put himself in a good position when the time comes. Hayden admitted John had not shared the Hidden Immunity Idol clues with him, and he wondered what that meant. Brad chimed in that they couldn’t all tell the truth all the time. When the votes were read, John was surprised to find himself the one voted out, headed to see his wife at Redemption Island. Once he arrived at Redemption Island, Candice and Marissa were both very unhappy to see him.
