Many have heard about the "Occupy Wall Street" movement. And many have compared the three-hundred person movement to the Taxed Enough Already Movement -- also referred to as the Tea Party, which had over a hundred thousand people .
Thankfully, these folks are not the Tea Party, otherwise the NYPD would be outnumbered three-to-one, and things would get really messy. After all, the OWS crowd have already attacked the police, there is no reason to think they wouldn't attack a mere passerby.
Then again, given the condition of Zuccotti park, things are already pretty messy.
However, some people have to walk past Zuccotti park to get to work -- assuming that your job hasn't been closed down by the protesters.
If you must pass within two blocks of Zuccotti park, you might want to be careful. You can tell because two blocks is about when the smell should hit you.
Be careful when walking into a Starbucks -- the OWS uses the free wifi for their twitter updates on their iPads.
If you are even moderately well dressed, please be on the lookout, they may mistake you for a millionaire, even if you buy your suits from Haband.
Keep alert, but try not to look any of them in the eye, you never know if eye contact will set them off. If required, you could spot a concealed weapon
Hold yourself as though you know what you're doing, and you can handle yourself if necessary.
And, when in doubt, remember that you already carry weapons on you.
Be safe.
