The latest round of roster reveals has been announced by 2K Games for the upcoming multiplatform videogame, "WWE 2K15." According to a report from Gamepur on Aug. 19, the publisher unveiled a list of playable characters, which contains a mix of divas, legends and current superstars. The new batch contains a few surprises.

Perhaps the biggest eye-opener was Alberto Del Rio, who was recently released from the company due to unprofessional conduct. He allegedly slapped Cody Barbierri, a social media manager for WWE, after he confronted the employee and asked for an apology for racist remarks that were made towards him. However, Cody Barbierri did not express any regret, which prompted the physical altercation.

Alberto Del Rio was originally supposed to be suspended for only a short period of time. However, the company allegedly decided to let him go after Cody Barbierri threatened to take legal actions for unsafe work conditions. He supposedly has a no-compete clause in the United States for the next year that will prevent him from joining other wrestling promotions.

Another big superstar who recently left WWE was CM Punk. Despite his high-profile departure, his character will be playable in "WWE 2K15." Furthermore, CM Punk will be featured heavily in the campaign mode as his rivalry with John Cena is going to make up half of the storyline battles.

The current roster also has some surprising omissions. Christian, Rusev and Sin Cara have still not yet been announced to be a part of the wrestling video game. The exclusion of Rusev is especially unexpected considering that he has been featured prominently on television programs and pay-per-view events over the past several months.

Fortunately, 2K Games reassured fans that more roster reveals should be coming soon. Some of the characters could also be announced as DLC. The official "WWE 2K15" release date is still scheduled for Oct. 28 in North America. You can take a look at an in-game screen near the top of this article (via the official Twitter of WWE Games).
