Supreme Pro Wrestling held their monthly card Sunday in front of a sizable crowd. This month's Halloween themed event featured the costume battle royal and all three titles being defended. The main event of the show had the current SPW Heavyweight Champion Sal Thomaseli defended the title against the number one contender Jeff Cobb. The Extreme Champion Drake Younger put up his belt on the line against top ranked opponent Virgil Flynn and the tag team champions Bobby Hart & CJ Kurz once again tangle with Drake Frost and a mystery partner.
The costume battle royal featured the stars of SPW dressed up like their favorite wrestler. The winner of the event would be the official number one contender and will get a shot at the belt next month. Sal Thomaseli decided to enter the event last and sauntered into the ring and attacked the final two participants. Flyin' Ryan (dressed up as The Sandman) defeated the champion and will face the winner of the main event at the November show. Jeckles the Jester and The Mad Tongan faced off in the squared circle for the second match. The Tongan put up a good showing against the evil Jester but lost via pin fall.
Rik Luxury & Corvus took on the team of Dijon Brown & Dominic Simon. The heels dominated the contest before the hot tag by Brown nearly turned the tide but his team lost by pin fall. A number one contender's match for the SPW Extreme title was held in a four way match between Joe DeSoul, Marcus Lewis, Dusty Grimes and Josh "Scoot" Robinson. DeSoul healed it up for the crowd as he attacked the faces Lewis and Robinson (even teaming up with Grimes on an occasion). Lewis however manages to over come the double teaming and win the match by pin fall becoming the new number one contender for the Extreme title. Drake Frost once again challenged the tag team champions Kurz & Hart with another mystery partner (Dexter St, Jock).
St. Jock & Frost took it to the champions and went back and forth with them until Hart and Kurz used their usual underhanded tactics to ground the powerhouse Frost and the youngster Dexter before winning the match by using the double kick to the head for the win. The Extreme title was defended next. Champion Drake Younger came out with his collection of singles titles facing off against Virgil Flynn in a best-out-of-three falls match. Flynn and Younger matched each other move for move with neither one of them being able to get the upper hand. The two each managed to pin each other for the first two pins. Younger was able to use his veteran wits and pin the elusive Flynn for the third and final pin.
A five man lucha libre match was held between Sir Samurai, Flyin Ryan, T'Lo, Joe Rebino and Mustafa Saed. The two veterans Samurai and Saed took their fight out onto the floor whilst Ryan, Rebino and T'Lo kept the action in the ring. Ryan managed to keep T' Lo at bay and win the match by pin fall. The main event between champion Sal Thomaseli and Jeff Cobb was the final contest of the evening. Jeff Cobb came out first and as he was heading to the ringside Thomaseli came out and attacked him. Cobb made him pay by throwing him around as the action took place in and around the arena. Neither opponent was able to get the upper hand as they evenly matched one another hold for hold and blow to blow. When it began to look bleak for the champion Mustafa Saed came out to try and distract the referee. Seemingly unable to accomplish that, he attacked the official ending the match by disqualification making Cobb the winner.
SPW's next show will be held on November 17th. Tickets for the show are only $10 for adults and $5 for children. For more information please visit http://www.supremeprowrestling.com
