Supreme Court rules liberty unconstitutional

    I think you are on thin ice on that one. I don't believe you are using "Free" appropriately here. Our founding father did not mean free in terms of money but in terms of government restrictions and its influence on policy.

    What our founding fathers were concerned about was corporate, back then they called it a mercantile, form of government which of course we have today anyway. They were concerned about corporations and governments coming together to write laws and lobby for special protections to protect each you may have a point only to the extent that ultimately the money may affect policy but it is not so much that speech is being bought or sold but that government restrictions or policy could be influenced by that money.
