Supporters Gathering at Future Site of New Cristo Rey High School

The Most Rev. Frederick F. Campbell, Bishop of Columbus, will bless the new Cristo Rey Columbus High School building on Friday, June 11 at 5:30 P.M., 840 West State Street in Columbus. The event will feature tours of the facility and food and beverages from Franklinton businesses from 5-7 P.M

“We are very excited to announce the starting location of the school with this kick-off event which will provide an incredible educational opportunity for urban youth and with much excitement and support from business leaders and residents in the city of Columbus, Franklin County and Franklinton,” said Barbara Brown, Cristo Rey Columbus Program Director.

Cristo Rey Columbus, projected to open in 2012, is an employer-sponsored school that provides a coeducational, Catholic, college preparatory education for urban youth with limited educational options. The school employs the Cristo Rey model of working to learn and learning to work to achieve amazing results.
