It’s that time yet again, where fall is right around the corner—or well at least the name that is. Of course here in Texas we will not have any light sweater days for quite sometime. But, nonetheless it’s time for the start of the running season.

If you are like most people a light three miles, or even a fun-mile run is the approach. Remember every 5k has a special reason, which is to support your community. So you can give back while getting in shape. For the next few months most communities will be holding some type of running event. For instance, Keller will have their annual Run in the Dark in September. If you are up for more of a challenge, many are starting to talk about Jailbreak 2010 in Roanoke. This is an obstacle race much like the Mud Run located in Dallas.

If you’re even up for more of a challenge many of the 10k’s or marathons will be attached to most 5k’s. Good luck!
