The coming week, July 28 through August 3, in Orlando local music is another packed week. There is a benefit show, a CD release, a music video shoot and a television appearance along with several fundraising efforts underway. Of course, there are also a ton of great live music shows to choose from too.

There is a fundraiser underway on Give Forward to get a new leg for Orlando area singer/songwriter Sean “Legacy” Maloney. They are almost halfway to their $10,000 goal with a little more than a month to go.

Orlando band Ancient Sun still has a few days to go on their Kickstarter. They are hoping to raise enough money to fund their CD, “In the Fold.” They only have until Aug 1 to raise $6,000.

Singer/songwriter Kristin “Kam” Grice is hoping to raise enough funds to finish production on her EP, “All Or Nothing.” Her flexible funding IndieGoGo campaign runs until Aug 2.

Orlando singer/songwriters Reggie Williams and Matthew Fowler have teamed up to record and release a split EP and go out on a national tour. Together they have launched a Kickstarter to help fund their vision. They have until August 13 to hit their $6,000 goal.

Saturday is a big day with several special events happening. Central Florida band Apollo Electric appears on The CW show “The Upbeat Dancer” performing four songs. Blaine the Mono will be filming a music video at their FREE show at The Haven. The Welzeins are celebrating the release of their debut self-titled album with a show at The BackBooth.

On Sunday is the Rock For Kids benefit show at the Shriner’s Auditorium in Orlando. There will be an auction, raffle and live music by Full Circle, Skin Deep, Doc Ellis Orchestra, Rockit Fly, Control Freak and the students of the Rockstar Music School for this special show. The proceeds will go to bring music to special needs and under privileged kids.

Monday, July 28

Will’s Pub - 1042 N. Mills Ave. - Live music by Black Pussy, Hussy and more for this 18+ show. The doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets are $8 in advance or $10 day of show.

BB Kings Blues Club - 9101 International Dr. - Live music by Mpire at 8 p.m.

West End Trading Company - 202 S. Sanford Ave. (Sanford) - RPR presents open mic hosted by Thrillan Dylan and Rhenn Again at 8 p.m. This FREE event is 18+.

Tuesday, July 29

The Red Lion Pub - 3784 Howell Branch Road - Twisted Tuesday with Ancient Sun for this 18+ show. This FREE event includes live music and other entertainment as well as a home-cooked meal, with a $2 donation to the Red Lion Community Emergency Fund. The live music starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Beacham - 46 N. Orange Ave. - Live performances by Tchami, Big Makk and Phoenix Jagger for this 18+ show. Tickets are $20/25 and the doors open at 10 p.m.

BB Kings Blues Club - 9101 International Dr. - Live music by Tstone at 8 p.m.

There will also be graffiti and visual artists, clothing designers, break dance performers and more. This event is 18+ and tickets are $7 for 21+ and $10 for 18-20.
