Five Star Night, the 26th annual fundraiser for Alameda County Meals on Wheels, will take place on Friday, April 26, 2013 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Scottish Rite Center (1547 Lakeside Drive) in Oakland.
A lavish four-course dinner, under the guidance of Narsai David (also the event’s host and auctioneer), will be created by 14 of Bay Area chefs (to be announced), plus there will be a champagne and wine reception, silent and live auctions, no live music or band this year but DJ entertainment and dancing.
Special Guest is Julie Haener, co-anchor for KTVU-TV News.

Funds raised at Five Star Night are immediately distributed to Meals on Wheels programs throughout Alameda County to provide freshly prepared warm meals for thousands of homebound seniors.

Established in 1987, Alameda County Meals on Wheels, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), raises funds to support the six Meals on Wheels programs in the county providing warm meals and friendly visits to 2,100 home-bound seniors each delivery day — nearly 600,000 meals per year.
