There are some terrific choices coming up this week, March 4-10, for live Orlando local music so make it a point to get out there and support the hard-working bands.
The Tuesday show at the BackBooth is billed as the final Orlando show for local band Gunpowder Temple. It’s unclear whether they are leaving the area or calling it quits. On Thursday at The Backbooth is the final show for local Orlando band A Hero’s Fate. They’ve been playing out on the Orlando music scene for a while and it’s sad to see them call it quits.
At The Social Friday night is the long awaited CD release show for Orlando band Stiletto Red. The Examiner.com review of “Her Love is a Lie” can be found here.
On Saturday, Orlandobands.com kicks off their new series of FREE shows, Second Saturdays in Sanford at The West End Trading Company. This month’s show features live music from Orlando bands A.J. Fritscher, Carly Jo Jackson, The Heavy Craigs, Shout London, Cold War Relic, Spoone, Meka Nism and Stroke of Midnight with Central Florida band Within Rising.
