Chocolate lovers, rejoice! Here's your chance to indulge in decadent chocolate treats and support a good cause at the same time at the American Red Cross' 17th annual "For the Love of Chocolate" event on Saturday, February 1 at Medina High School in Medina, Ohio. It is approximately a 40 minute drive from Cleveland to Medina.

"For the Love of Chocolate" Event Sponsored by the J.M. Smucker Co., the "For the Love of Chocolate" event takes place at Medina High School's Performing Arts Center from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Of course, the main attraction of the event is being able to sample a multitude of delectable chocolate items from more than 40 chocolatiers. Samples will include truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, fudge, chocolate pies, chocolate pretzels rods, chocolate-covered Oreos, chocolate golf balls and chocolate cheesecake.

Other activities at this family-friendly event include a children's chocolate cookie contest, a Decadent Chocolate Dessert Contest (for adults, teens and professional cooks), a children's Candyland area and a bake sale.

Food will be available for purchase. All chocolatiers will be selling chocolate merchandise which (hint, hint) would make excellent Valentine's Day gifts.

Ticket prices are $10 (includes 8 sample tastings). Tickets are required for all visitors 5 years and older. All proceeds go to the Medina County Red Cross.
