Consumers purchasing supplements should not have to question whether these are from GMO sources, yet it has been reported that some supplements are.
When anyone purchases a supplement, their thoughts are probably not about which genetically modified foods are in the product. Most using supplements of any sort may feel the product is from an organic source, or at least not from a GMO source.
It seems logical that if GMO foods are used to produce supplements, the supplements would contain GMO foods. However, there are ways to purchase supplements that are made from organic foods or from something that is not genetically modified.
Searching for supplements that are not sourced from GMO foods might take a few minutes longer, however consumers can do this. Websites advertising supplements that are not from genetically modified foods can be easily found.
Be aware that most health food stores will offer supplements that claim they are not from GMO foods. This is another time when wary consumers should do their research before making a purchase.
Those preferring to get only what is offered by organic foods may enjoy juicing what is needed.
