Supervisors give mobile home park room to expand

Mobile home residents who live in a mobile home park just south of the I-8 in Lakeside can count on finding more neighbors to the west now that the county supervisors rezone two single family home properties for mobile home living.

Mobile home lots will get put in on over two and a half additional acres on one of the family home lots and a vacant lot. The major use permit the supervisors granted to the homes developer also gives them an opportunity to put in another doorway in the community, one that is the entrance to a near 8,000 sure foot recreational facility. A new fence that fits the new boundary line is also in the additions plans the supervisors permitted.

Room to park will increase at the park. Builders will put in more parking spaces than those needed for the new homes.

Once the park expansion is done. Drivers will have direct access to a neighboring western road.

The Lakeside Community Planning Group approved the expansion plans two times. Once n May of 2008 and once in early 2011.
