"Supernatural" season 9 is bringing back a couple of familiar characters in the upcoming episode 15, "Thinman," for which the CW released an official description on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Yes, the Ghostfacers are back on "Supernatural" this season, as the extended promo for the next group of episodes after the Olympics teases. That preview offers a look at Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) sitting down with Harry (Travis Wester) and Ed (A.J. Buckley), and it should be no surprise that the Ghostfacers aren't exactly pleased to see the hunters again. "The Winchesters, yay!" "Says nobody." "Ever." The Ghostfacers proclaim to sum up their feelings about the reunion. Considering the Ghostfacers are back, it can pretty much go without saying that the episode will feature a ghost hunt.
Here's the CW's official description of "Supernatural" season 9 episode 15, "Thinman," written by Jenny Klein and directed by Jeannot Szwarc:
"A teenage girl (guest star Ali Webb) is killed and the final selfie she took before the attack shows a ghostly figure in the background. Looking for something to keep them busy, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) head to Washington to find the ghost. While the two interview the girl's mother, Betty (guest star Maria Marlow), they are surprised when she starts talking about cold spots and fritzing. When they ask her about bringing up paranormal signs, Betty replies that the “supernaturalists” who called earlier brought it up. Enter Harry (guest star Travis Wester) and Ed (guest star A.J. Buckley), the famous supernaturalists."
The Ghostfacers have been part of four previous episodes – "Hell House," "Ghostfacers," "It's a Terrible Life" and "Hammer of the Gods" – and they had a web series as well, and it's usually pretty entertaining when they show up. Hopefully that's the case once again.
"Supernatural" season 9 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW. Episode 15 airs March 4. Are you looking forward to seeing the Ghostfacers again in "Thinman"?
