Garth was last seen on "Supernatural" in last season's "Southern Comfort," in which it was revealed he had become the "new Bobby," and while he clearly still had some things to learn about taking on such a position, he was doing okay. However, he was then tasked with keeping an eye on Kevin (Osric Chau) and then he sort of just disappeared (all off-screen) while Kevin was supposedly safe on his houseboat.
Earlier this week, the CW released a new preview of the upcoming episodes, and that includes a look at Garth in the hospital. "Am I in heaven?" He asks upon sitting up in a hospital bed. "Take it easy, Garth," Dean tells him. "You're in Wisconsin." But what's going on with Garth? Unfortunately, the "Sharp Teeth" description doesn't tell us that, but it does tease a surprising discovery:
"After finding out that Garth (guest star DJ Qualls) is in the hospital, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go to check on him. Still carrying the guilt over Kevin, Dean lays into Garth about disappearing and demands to know where he’s been. Garth makes an excuse and then hightails it away from the guys. Confused as to why Garth would run from them, Sam and Dean do some investigating and are stunned by what they find."
Supernatural" season 9 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW. "Sharp Teeth," written by Adam Glass and directed by John Showalter, airs Jan. 28. What do you think of these episode 12 spoilers?
