'Supernatural' season 9 finale sneak peek: Sam and Castiel's plan for Dean

Using the First Blade has changed Dean (Jensen Ackles), as we have seen in recent episodes – and especially in the most recent one, "Stairway to Heaven" – but is the plan that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) have come up with in the sneak peek the CW released on Thursday, May 15, from the "Supernatural" season 9 finale, "Do You Believe in Miracles," the right move? Dean certainly doesn't think so.

In the last episode, Gadreel (Tahmoh Penikett) came to them and offered to help them, but Dean pulled out the First Blade and sliced his chest – and this was after Tessa had impaled herself on the Blade earlier in the episode, adding to the list of kills/times it's been used in Dean's hand. As we saw at the end of the episode and in the promo already released for the finale, this is changing Dean. Crowley tells him in the preview, "the more you kill, the better you feel," and Dean admits, "I get this high, and I want to kill."

Now, the "Do You Believe in Miracles" sneak peek shows Sam and Castiel forcing Dean to sit out – and they have just the place to force him to do just that. "Something is wrong with you, Dean," Sam tells his brother. "Until we figure out what, this is where you have to stay." Dean is not on board with this plan, pointing out that Castiel lost his angel army, and Sam's trying to lock up the only person who has a shot at killing Metatron (Curtis Armstrong). Unfortunately for Dean, nothing he says is going to change their minds, at least not at that moment, and even as Dean calls out to his brother, Sam locks him in.

"Supernatural" season 9 ends Tuesday at 9 p.m. on the CW. What do you think of this finale "Do You Believe in Miracles" clip?
