This vampire hunt is going to get complicated in the next "Supernatural," episode 919, "Alex Annie Alexis Ann," which we already knew looking at the photos and the promo. The new sneak peek the CW released on Thursday, April 17, just confirms it.
In this next episode, after killing a vampire who attacked a prisoner, Annie (Katherine Ramdeen), Sheriff Mills (Kim Rhodes) calls in Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help. A family of vampires kidnapped Annie and used her as bait to lure in humans to feed on, but when Sheriff Mills tries to save her from the vampire nest, she finds out the hard way that family always comes first.
The "Alex Annie Alexis Ann" clip confirms what we've been thinking about this case, based on the synopsis, promo and photos. Sheriff Mills gives Sam and Dean the rundown on Annie. She was reported abducted in 2006 and had been raised by an elderly grandparent. The Sheriff wonders if the vampires could have been the ones who took her, and while Dean points out that eight years if a long time for vampires to keep a human without killing or turning her, signs are pointing to that being the case.
"You're the experts," Jody acknowledges, but adds, "There is something familiar about the way this vamp talked to her." Sam agrees, especially since the feeding scars on Annie's neck are layered like they've been built on for years. There's even a name for this – blood slave, as Dean explains. Vampires keep humans as pets (or rather, human feed bags), and sometimes, the blood slave remains loyal to the vampires. Yes, this is a case of vampiric Stockholm syndrome. Annie is protecting the vampire nest.
"Supernatural" season 9 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW. What do you think of this episode 19 "Alex Annie Alexis Ann" sneak peek?
