"Supernatural" season 9 continues next week with episode 17, "Mother's Little Helper," directed by Misha Collins, and Crowley's (Mark Sheppard) desire to get rid of his competition continues as well – but is Dean (Jensen Ackles) stalling? That's what Crowley thinks in the sneak peek the CW released Thursday, March 20.
In this next "SPN" episode, Dean tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) to investigates a possible possession without him while he struggles with the after effects of the Mark of Cain. While Sam's away, Crowley tests Dean.
The last episode, "Blade Runners," saw their search for the First Blade lead Sam, Dean and Crowley to Magnus, a rogue Man of Letters who had been kicked out, and Magnus wanted to add Dean and his Mark to his collection. In the end, however, Dean used the Blade to cut off Magnus' head, and it wasn’t easy to Sam to break through the hold and anger that took over Dean when he did.
Now, the "Mother's Little Helper" sneak peek offers a look at Crowley confronting Dean about holding up his end of the bargain. "Go to hell," the hunter tells him. "Oh, if only," Crowley replies. He thinks Dean's stalling and asks how he felt when he used the Blade on Magnus' head. "Not half as good as I'm going to feel when it's yours," Dean threatens. Crowley things he's scared. Considering what we saw when Dean used it on Magnus, he should be.
"Supernatural" season 9 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW. What do you think the Mark is going to do to Dean?
