They've faced countless deadly creatures, been possessed, died, been brought back to life, and literally gone to hell and back many times. More times than we can count, actually, but those Winchester boys are coming back for Season 10 of "Supernatural," and the CW released the latest poster Tuesday. The posters always feature Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles), but series regulars Castiel (Mischa Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) are included on the new posters as well.

Access Hollywood also reported Tuesday that The CW will air a special retrospective of the series October 6 at 9 p.m. with cast interviews, and possibly a few spoilers given away.

It's already been leaked that the upcoming season will start with Dean Winchester (Ackles) being possessed by a demon. Sam Winchester (Padelecki) has had a previous run at being possessed as well, but apparently the writers decided Dean was up for the next round of demonic tag teaming. And yet the monster fighting brothers keep bouncing back as characters and as a series, with a number of reincarnations even cats would envy. One has to wonder how long cult status will keep this classic ride going, because that fuel tank has to be getting low, yet fans simply can't get enough.

The series mixes humor and horror as the two brothers pursue their life of fighting all kinds of supernatural monsters, but the demons have been coming since the pilot episode, when the boys' mother was killed by one when Sam was still in the cradle. That had inspired their dad to turn to monster fighting, which was a calling he passed down to his sons -- along with excellent taste in classic rock.

'Supernatural" returns for Season 10 Tuesday, October 7 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
