'Supernatural' returns from its winter hiatus with episode 10 'Road Trip'

Well, the winter hiatus for the CW show "Supernatural" is finally coming to an end in just a handful of days when the new episode "Road Trip" airs on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 9 p.m. (EST). When the mid-season finale aired it left viewers with Gadreel being outed as the angel inside Sam and Metatron tasking Gadreel with killing Kevin Tran. Now, in the new episode "Road Trip" Dean is left guilt-ridden over Kevin's death and must work with Crowley to save Sam ... what could possibly go wrong?

The loss of Kevin was a hard hit for the fandom and he'll be mourned for a while I suspect both by the fandom and the Winchesters on the show. Osric Chau the actor who portrayed Kevin will still be among the SPN Family at conventions, so Kevin may be gone from the show but he is still among the fans of the show via con's.

The CW released a sneak peek of the new episode and it looks like it will be an intense episode based on the peek, the various promo's out there and the promo pictures.

Season 9 has been met with mixed reviews from viewers, but I for one have been enjoying the season, so far. I haven't loved everything the show has done over the past nine seasons, but I do love the Winchesters and I'm in it for the long haul. The fandom over the last few months has had some trouble with toxic fans, if you can call them fans, but my remedy for them ... I let it go and don't let their negative views, mud-slinging or petty arguments influence my "Supernatural" experience. The show will not be on forever and one day it will roll its final credits, so why waste time hating and complaining, but I digress.

Promos that have depicted some of the new episodes coming the viewers way look very promising and I for one am looking forward to the remainder of the season. Although, there has been no word on early renewals, I do feel "Supernatural" will at least get a season 10 and perhaps more, who knows!

So, mark your TV viewing calendars for the Mid-season premiere of "Supernatural" on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
