"Supernatural" may not be new for a couple of weeks, but the CW still released a sneak preview of what's coming up next on Tuesday, March 25.
Right now on "Supernatural," Dean (Jensen Ackles) is feeling the effects of the Mark of Cain and using the First Blade, while Crowley (Mark Sheppard) enjoys testing him – and picking up on the fact that he's scared. Meanwhile, on the latest case, Sam (Jared Padalecki) discovered that Abaddon (Alaina Huffman) is taking souls to create her own demon army, loyal to her, which means their mission is simple: Find Abaddon, ASAP.
Given that the next new episode, 918, is titled "Meta Fiction" (written by Robbie Thompson and directed by Thomas J. Wright), it makes sense that the promo of what's coming up next is bookended and narrated by Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) as he types. Metatron is trying to play God, so how do they stop him?
Well, maybe trapping Gadreel (Tahmoh Penikett) will help, plus Sam gets to come face-to-face with the angel that possessed him. At least it looks like whatever's coming is going to hurt Gadreel. However, Castiel (Misha Collins) seems to be in some trouble as well.
"Supernatural" season 9 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW. Episode 18, "Meta Fiction" airs April 15. What do you think of the promo of what's coming up next?
