'Supernatural' and the return of Garth this week in episode 12 'Sharp Teeth'

This week's "Supernatural" sees Sam and Dean sharing the same space again, but perhaps not back together in the 'everything's peachy' between us now sense. There is one big return this week as we see the return of the character Garth played by (DJ Qualls). We last saw Garth in season's 8 episode "Southern Comfort", however, we heard him mentioned more than once since that episode. He has been MIA for a while and this week's episode "Sharp Teeth.

Garth and Dean having a talk ... I wonder what they are discussing. Garth has that sincere look on his face he gets sometimes when talking to the eldest Winchester brother. I wonder where Mr. Fizzles is?

The CW released a synopsis of "Sharp Teeth":

After finding out that Garth (guest star DJ Qualls) is in the hospital, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go to check on him. Still carrying the guilt over Kevin, Dean lays into Garth about disappearing and demands to know where he’s been. Garth makes an excuse and then hightails it away from the guys. Confused as to why Garth would run from them, Sam and Dean do some investigating and are stunned by what they find (9.12).

Of course, the short promo that was shown last week sheds some apparent light on the "stunned by what they find" line in the synopsis, as Garth says he's a werewolf. Somehow, I think there could be a twist, we'll see, Seldom is "Supernatural" cut and dry, so we'll have to wait and see how the episode ends.

The ratings for "Supernatural" season 9 have been very good and although there has not been an official announcement from the CW regarding a renewal for a season 10 -- I think it's very likely to happen, a shoe-in if you will. We'll have to wait for an official green light from the CW, but I'd be floored if it didn't happen for our boys and the show.
