Jim Beaver will appear as a character who helps Miles Matheson (Billy Burke,) his niece Charlie (Tracy Spiradakos,) and the rest of the band of rebels (Zak Orth as Aaron and Elizabeth Mitchell as Rachel) when "Revolution" returns in the fall. Beaver's character, John Franklin Fry, is described as "...a hard-ass, whip smart Texas Ranger." News of the casting was made public via the actor's Facebook page on August 23, 2013.
Beaver is best known by "Supernatural" fans for his portrayal of Bobby Singer on the Kripke series "Supernatural." Bobby, who has been a father figure to the Winchester brothers, died in the series' eighth season, but is scheduled to return to "Supernatural" this fall when it begins it's ninth season on the CW Network.
Beaver is no stranger to the small screen. Along with his credits on both of Kripke's series, he has also appeared in titles such as "Justified," "Breaking Bad," and "Deadwood."
"Revolution" returns to NBC on September 27, 2013. Look for Beaver to appear on the series in mid-October.
