Three-year-old Sam Anton was diagnosed with a stage 3 Wilms tumor on his kidney last October. James and Mary Anton’s family and community members have banded together to support the Anton family and their son, Sam, by scheduling a fundraiser.

Suzanne Blades, friend of the Anton family explained, “The Antons are a single income family with three children. "We are raising money to help the family with the overall medical costs they are facing with Sam's radiation, chemotherapy sessions, regular visits to the hospital due to a diminished immune system, acupuncture to help with the nausea which typically follows chemo treatments and therapy to somehow help explain what is happening to poor Sam both for him and his young siblings.”

Superman Sam’s Celebration of Strength Benefit is scheduled for March 14 at Mother’s Grille in Baltimore.

Between 7:00-10:00 pm there will be a basket raffle, appetizers from Mother’s Bar Grille, as well as live entertainment. The Real Geniuses, a local '80s cover band, will be on hand to pump up the crowd with some classic tunes. The raffle baskets include tailgating materials, spa items, wine, gift cards and other prizes.

Raffle tickets are being sold prior to and during the event at a cost of $2 each, or special prices of four for $5 and 20 for $25. Donations and gifts are also welcome.

Tickets to the benefit are $30 for adults and $15 for children.

To purchase tickets, contact SupermanSamBenefit@gmail.com. For more information about the fundraiser, email Suzanne Blades at smblades@verizon.net or Carrie Smith at Candcdanceco@aol.com.
