It looks like The Man of Steel and The Dark Knight are heading to the Motor City. Deadline has reported that the upcoming Superman/Batman movie will be filmed in Detroit, Michigan. Apparently the studio signed for $35 Million to film in the city; and the state has awarded WB permission to do so. Now with the tax credit, Warner Bros is aiming to begin filming for the upcoming blockbuster early next year.
Interesting how the Mideast States seems to be a target for these big superhero films. Last year, Clevelend was the site of The Avengers' epic final battle; and now Detroit will be home of the grand encounter of Superman and Batman. Though the question still remains on whether or not Detroit will be playing Metropolis or Gotham. Only time will tell.
The upcoming Superman/Batman is the continuation of Zach Snyder's Man of Steel. The film stars Henry Cavill, Ben Afflek, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and possibly Bryan Cranston.
The anticipated Superman/Batman movie will be heading to theaters on July 17,2015.
