Phil Anselmo's band Superjoint Ritual will be reuniting for an exclusive appearance at the 2014 Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin, TX. The announcement hit the fest's official website on August 19, 2014. Anselmo is also a founder of the fest, and performed last year with his musical projects Down and The Illegals.

Other bands announced in the post included Voivod, Gwar, Mobile Deathcamp, War Masters and Corrections House. These new additions come close on the heels of the festival's recently expanded film titles that will be screening this year.

A post on August 14, 2014 noted that there would also be a cast reunion of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2". Other films set to be screened include "Tourist Trap", "Race With The Devil", "Creepers", "Shock Waves", "Whatever Happened To Aunt Alice", "The Witch That Came From The Sea", "Gates Of Hell", "Dr. Tarr's Torture Dungeon" and "Frightmare."

These come in addition to an earlier announced reunion of the cast of the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

Previously announced music acts include headlining sets from Glenn Danzig, who will perform both his solo material as well as with his punk-goth hybrid band Samhain. Other acts of note include Neurosis, EyeHateGod, Satyricon, Cattle Decapitation, Wizards Of Gore, Randy Blythe, Macabre, Unearth, Portal, Acid Witch, Heavy As Texas and Warbeast.

Also on hand will be comedian Brian Posehn, an unabashed metal and horror fan that should provide just the right injection of levity for the dark proceedings.

More announcements are expected soon, and we'll post as things are updated.

The Housecore Horror Film Festival runs from October 23 to October 26 in Austin, TX. The event will be held at Emo's East and Midway's. Badges for the fest are currently running for $199 and can be purchased through Eventbrite by clicking here.
