Superbowl Sunday has become an annual tradition for getting together with friends to watch the game.  For the diehard football fans, the excitement starts during the week before the game.  Friends normally get together in a betting pool to bet squares in the hopes of cashing in on their fortune...well at least enough to buy groceries for a week or so.  Even the non-football fans start to get into the buzz that comes with the superbowl hype.  The most important part about superbowl Sunday is where to watch the game.  There are many places in the Flint area that are waiting to make your super Sunday a great time for you and your friends.

A great venue to watch the superbowl is at Bubba O'malley's on Belsay Road, just off of I-69, in Burton.  On superbowl Sunday, starting at 6pm, they will have food and drink specials until they close.  The specials include pizza, soda, and beer.  They feature the $1.00 hour on drinks.  Representatives from both Budweiser and Miller Brewing will be on hand to give out special prizes throughout the day.  For more information call: 810-715-9900.

Another awesome venue to watch the game is at Sharky's Sports BarSharky's has 17 televisions, so finding one to sit around with your group will be no problem.  All day during the superbowl they will have food specials starting at $5.99 and drink specials starting at $1.00.  If you want to have a private party with your friends, make reservations.  Sharky's is located at 4050 South Center Road in Burton.  For more information call: 810-742-6185.

Not a drinker and do not care to be around bars? No problem.  A wonderful place to go with your friends and family is the Annual Sober Superbowl Party hosted by Greater Flint Project Vox.  While watching the game, join in on the fun in the annual chili cook-off.  There will also be drawings, prizes, and games for the whole family. The party location is at the local 598 union hall on 3293 Van Slyke Road in Flint.  For more information call 810-742-1911.

No matter how you like to enjoy yourself and your friends, there are plenty of places to watch the game in the flint area.  Keep the tradition alive and head over to Bubba's, Sharky's, or Great Flint Project Vox.  You will surely have the best super Sunday.
