The NFL Super Bowl 2014 is right around the corner! Whether you are going to a party to root for your favorite team, or hosting a party at your house, food is the one thing everyone can agree on. It's the most important part of any Super Bowl party in fact!
Aside from being a pungent and flavorful herb in cooking, Dill has a number of health benefits including being a good source of Vitamins A and C. Medicinally Dill is good for digestive issues such as constipation and gas. It is also an anti inflammatory and can be helpful with insomnia.
In cooking, Dill is best known for it's use in pickles but it makes an amazing dip for veggies or chips. All of it's health and medicinal benefits are an added bonus for a Super Bowl party packed with great food.
Superbowl Dill Dip
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp dried, crushed dill
Mix all ingredients together and serve. You can adjust the salt and dill to your specific tastes. You may want to double or triple the batch, as this will go pretty fast!
