Discount carrier AirTran Airways has announced its 'Stretch Your Travel Budget Sale' for bookings made by February 16. Valid for travel from February 21 through June 6, 2012, destinations are available across the U.S. as well as to the Caribbean islands of Puerto Rico and Jamaica.
With service from Terminal 2/Humphrey at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, AirTran flies non-stop to Milwaukee, Atlanta and Orlando, with easy connections to dozens of other great vacation spots. Purchased last year by mega-discount carrier Southwest Airlines, AirTran's current sale is valid for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesday only and includes warm weather spots like Las Vegas, Phoenix, Fort Myers and Sarasota.
As always, AirTran has no round-trip ticket purchase requirement. Sample one-way fares in conjunction with this sale include: Milwaukee, $80; New York, $170; San Juan, $224; Atlanta, $162; and Pensacola/Gulf Coast, $167. Log onto www.airtran.com for complete details and reservations.
While the airfares above may appear to be more expensive than past sales, keep in mind that a new federal requirement is that security fees, segment taxes and passenger facility charges now be included in all advertised fares.
