Riot’s Season 3 league of Legends Championship Series has been an epic Esports ride so far and it’s only getting more intense. Feb.27-Feb.29 not only marks week 4 of the series but also the first super week. This week is big for all teams involved giving underdogs the chance to improve their standings and top dogs the opportunity to fall from their pedestals.
Week 4 of the LCS is being called super week because instead of the usual 8 games over two days there will be 20 games over 3 days. As if it wasn't a big enough handful to sit down and watch the hours of gameplay squeezed into the Thursday and Friday evening slots. Die-hard fans now have even more to watch this week. This means instead of preparing to play against two opposing teams in a week the players have had to study up on the strategies of 5 different opponents.
This huge weekend of gaming will be exciting in terms of the overall team rankings. Right now the standings for NA teams in the LCS are as follows :

However with super week all of this can change. The massive amount of games can allow for underdogs to get a winning streak and power level themselves up from the bottom. Conversely all-stars of the season have to stay on their A game. They can’t let the stress and mental drain of playing such a long expanse of tournament games get to them and potentially plummet their standing with an unfortunate losing streak.
Ever changing team standings is one of the exciting aspects of the long format LCS though. Throughout the season it can be expected that teams will be working their way up and falling down the ladder of victory. With super week four already underway for the NA teams, EU’s crazy super week will be starting on Friday.
