'Super Troopers 2' on the way

It is finally happening!

According to The Wrap today, comedy group Broken Lizard’s Kevin Heffernan (“Slammin’ Salmon”) has confirmed that “Super Troopers 2” is indeed going to happen.

Heffernan said, “We wrote the script and handed it in to Fox, and now we’re just negotiating the time and the place and hopefully shoot it sometime this year. I have to start growing my mustache now.”

I wish I could watch it right meow (see what I did there?).

If they film it later this year than it will release in 2014 making it 13 years since the predecessor about a group of Vermont state troopers, and their shenanigans.

I’m particularly excited for this because every movie Broken Lizard has made has been funnier than most comedies that come out now-a-days (seriously, check out “Slammin’ Salmon” with Michael Clarke Duncan), and “Super Troopers” is a cult classic.
