Update 6/5/14: According to the CACC Transfer Team, Levine has a rescue pending.
Levine, an adult pit bull, was taken in at the Chicago Animal Care and Control facility in Ill., on May 8 after being abandoned - today, he needs a rescue commitment or he will be lost forever.
The CACC Transfer Team, which advocates for impounded dogs at the facility who are in need of rescue, shared the following words about Levine:
Super sweet dog, very snuggly and just wanted to sit in my lap. Dream on the leash - VERY EASY to walk, a little shy but tolerated handling all over.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday morning, they also announced that he must have a firm rescue hold by 7 p.m. tonight.
Levine did not ask to be put into this position, but if he could speak, he would beg for help out.
Many dogs at this facility are "rescue only" and Levine is one of those dogs. Please read more about why dogs are designated "rescue only" at this facility at this link.
Levine needs the help of strangers in order to survive - please take a moment to share his information:
