New details have been revealed in regards to the playable demo of the upcoming "Super Smash Bros for Wii U." According to a report from Dual Shockers on May 27, fans will be able to try out the video game at select Best Buy stores for a limited amount of time. Nintendo previously confirmed that the demo stations are going to be set up at the retailer around the looming E3 2014 event.
The first occasion is set on June 11 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time while the second one takes place three days later on June 14 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nintendo has not yet confirmed which of the 30 announced characters will be playable in the demo. You can check out the artworks of some of the fighters from the official "Super Smash Bros" Facebook page with the picture attached near the top side of this article.
During the same demo events, fans can also pre-order "Super Smash Bros for Wii U" and "Super Smash Bros for 3DS." The first 70 customers to do so will be getting a special collectible gold coin based on the video game. Furthermore, a $5 gift certificate for My Best Buy will also be provided at the launch of the software product.
In addition to the Best Buy demo stations, Nintendo is also holding a 90-minute developer conference for both versions of the upcoming title at E3 2014. A tournament between 16 of the best "Super Smash Bros" players is also going to be held at a theater located nearby the convention. Those who can't attend can watch the competition through various channels on Twitch.
If they can't play the demo at Best Buy, fans will have to wait until this winter in order to get their hands on "Super Smash Bros for Wii U." However, "Super Smash Bros for 3DS" is coming out earlier with a summer launch being planned by Nintendo. The participating retailers for the trial version of the console game can be found on the official Best Buy website.
