Masahiro Sakurai has further compared two of the characters in the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Super Smash Bros. 4.” According to a report by Mii Gamer on Oct. 28, the game director revealed some of the differences between Link and Toon Link in the crossover fighting game.
Masahiro Sakurai posted a screenshot showcasing the two fighters using the same spin maneuvers. He mentioned that the visuals differences are “clear” between the two attacks. Link’s version features a blue and orange trail while Toon Link’s move produces a green trail. The game director also hinted that there will be some dissimilarity in the gameplay as well. You can check out the new comparison screen, as well as some other shots of “Super Smash Bros. 4,” in the slideshow near the top of this article and the comments from the game director below (courtesy of Mii Gamer):
The graphical differences of the Spin Attacks are clear. The way they hit are actually very different too.
Toon Link is often referred to as clone to Link. Aside from the height and a few gameplay differences, the two characters play very similar. With the addition of Link and Toon Link, Nintendo has announced 17 fighters for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U software product so far.
The publisher has only disclosed that “Super Smash Bros. 4” will be coming out next year. A more specific release date has not yet been formally confirmed. You can pre-order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Super Smash Bros. 4”
