Nintendo has provided additional details in regards to the "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U E3 2014 tournament. According to a post from Facebook on May 30, the company want to hear about some fan feedback for the invitational. The competition for the upcoming game is set to take place during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in a nearby theater.
The 16 entrants have already been named for the tournament and feature some of the biggest names from the community. Along with appearing on location, fans can also watch a live stream through the Twitch website. The publisher did not mention which character or stage will be used for the event, however.
The aforementioned survey asked fans about whether or not they will be attending the invitational. The questions include how many friends attendees will be bringing along in addition to how far they are willing to travel. The short "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U questionnaire can be taken from the Survey Monkey website.
The crossover fighting series became popular with the competitive scene after the release of "Super Smash Bros Melee" on the Gamecube. However, the franchise took a bit of a step back for hardcore players due to the next release, "Super Smash Bros Brawl." The random tripping and slower speed put off some fans. With the E3 2014 tournament, however, it appears that Nintendo is trying to appeal to the competitive fighting scene once again.
The invitation is just one of many events Nintendo has lined up in regards to "Super Smash Bros 4" for Wii U at E3 2014. The company is also setting up demo stations at a few Best Buy branded stores. A long developer conference was also announced for the console version of the fighting game as well.
