The Nintendo Wii U version of the forthcoming “Super Smash Bros. 4” has been further showcased by Masahiro Sakurai. According to a report from Mii Gamer on Sept. 30, the latest media asset takes another look at Toon Link, who was recently confirmed to be a playable character in the crossover fighting video game.
The new screenshot shows off his spin attack, a maneuver in which he swings his swords horizontally in 360 degrees. Also featured in the image is the regular version of Link, who is also using the same attack. Masahiro Sakurai issued a short comment stating that players wouldn’t want to be caught up in the middle of the two spinning strikes. You can check out the new double spin attack screen, as well as several other shots from “Super Smash Bros. 4,” in the slideshow near the top of this article and the comments from the fame director below (courtesy of Mii Gamer):
The two heroes swing it out with a double Spin Attack! Wounldn’t wanna be to the one to get hit.
Toon Link first appeared in “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” on the Nintendo Wii. He is described as a “clone character” as he features a similar move set as the regular version of Link. It appears the two would remain relatively the same in the sequel.
“Super Smash Bros. 4” is projected to launch in 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS along with the aforesaid Nintendo Wii U. You can pre-order the product from Amazon in the following link: “Super Smash Bros. 4”
